Sabbath School Classes
Junior's Sabbath School Class
“Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matt 19:14
There is something about children that is nearly indescribable, especially when we want to think on the beautiful aspects of childhood. Innocence, honesty, inoffensiveness, lightheartedness, devotedness, sincerity and simplicity of intent are but a few adjectives that one thinks of when considering the characteristics of a child. Perhaps it is our own childhood we remember and compare to our current life as an adult that is so fraught with problems, toil, distress and pain, that when we look at our children we are blessed.
It is with this in mind that we view, the teaching of our children about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, as a precious sacred trust. At the junior level we emphasize a personal relationship with Jesus “the son of the living God”, but we also teach our children about personally experiencing the creative, enduring, and sustaining power of God, as well as the guiding and calling attributes of the Holy Spirit. Whether through biblical stories or modern day anecdotes (with spiritual applications), the values, morals, and teachings of the Word of God are brought into the minds, and hopefully, the hearts of our children. God is the foundational experience that enables our children to develop positive aspects of character that will reside in the person, long after childhood has faded into a distant memory.
If you have children between the age(s) of 10-13, consider allowing your children to attend Juniors Sabbath School class that meets Saturdays from 9:30-10:40 am. Every moment is sacred and our desire is that every young person meets Jesus. You will find the Primary Sabbath School class behind the second door on the left, down the main hall, leading to the Fellowship Hall. If you get lost, don’t worry; someone will surely help you find us.
